I have been toying with the idea of getting a reading journal to keep track of all the books I have read, but I didn’t want to buy something I wouldn’t use or try adding something into my routine that I didn’t actually want to do. I have started keeping up with my monthly reads and recapping at the end of the month her on Substack and that has been working well for me so far. And knowing myself, I probably wouldn’t end up writing in a physical reading journal consistently and it would just end up in the pile of other journals I haven’t written. I have come to the realization that a plain old journal with no prompts is the best for me. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love a good journal prompt. I just prefer being able to choose it.
So instead of buying a reading journal for myself, I decided to create a list of a combination of general book lover journal prompts and book specific prompts that I could pick from!

Some fabulous prompts here, thanks for the inspiration! :)
I love the prompts, especially the dream reading space question. My space would include a comfortable chair and ottoman, good lighting, a candle, a cozy blanket, and lots of packed bookshelves. Thanks for sharing so much inspiration.
